Saints of the Monastery

The Monastery of St Antony the Great was home to many righteous monastic fathers throughout the millenia who came to his mountain

in search of St Antony's profound desert spirituality, such as St John the Dwarf, St Sisoes, St Hilarion, and St Paul the Simple.

Today the Monastery is blessed with the relics of the following monastic fathers:

St Antony the Great (4th century)
St Mark the Ascetic (14th century)
St Yusab, Bishop of Girga and Akhmim (18th century)
Father Yostos (20th century).
